Weddings

“Thank you so much for being a part of our wedding day. The hair stood on everyone’s arms as you piped us in! Your music truly made our Castle Wedding a dream come true!”
Josh and Alyson
Consider the impact of the Great Highland Bagpipes played by an experienced piper. It’s the perfect instrument for celebrations, and adds to the joy and excitement of the day. The bagpipes played at your wedding will be something to be talked about for years to come. There are a number of options with regards to wedding planning incorporating the bagpipes. Some of the options are listed here:
- Play outside the ceremony location as guests arrive.
- Lead the processional into the ceremony. This can be for the entire wedding party, but is often reserved for the bride.
- Play at a specified moment during the ceremony.
- Lead the recessional. This can include the entire wedding party, but is usually reserved for the bride and groom.
- Lead the bride and groom into the reception.
- Play at a specified point at the reception
When you know that you want a bagpiper at your wedding, please let me know. Waiting until the last minute may mean that you are not able to have a piper. Bookings are often made a year in advance.
Please bear in mind that outdoor piping can sound less than optimal when temperatures drop into the 40’s. Formal highland attire is standard, which includes kilt, jacket, tie etc.
A selection of appropriate tunes might include:
- Moonstar
- Marie’s Wedding
- Murdo’s Wedding
- Highland Cathedral
- Blue Bonnets
Specially requested tunes must be presented well in advance of the nuptials. Please Contact me for rates.
